08 Jan Architectural Digest – The 15 Most Noteworthy Museums Opening This Year
The National Comedy Center, which opens this fall, is the first nonprofit and national-scale visitor experience that celebrates the art of comedy. Visitors will enjoy over 50 immersive exhibits as well as hologram performances from living and dead comedians. The more than 37,000 square feet of exhibit space will contain George Carlin’s archives and an adults-only “Blue Room,” which will explore the art form’s more mature subject matter and the history of cultural taboos.
