The National Comedy Center is the first state-of-the-art museum and nonprofit cultural institution dedicated to telling the story of comedy. More than 50 immersive exhibits take visitors on an interactive journey through this story. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated volunteers to join our team. Volunteers are key members of our team and will help share the art of comedy with all of our guests. You must be 15 years or older. Sorry, kiddos.
Help guests throughout the museum and share your passion for comedy. A variety of opportunities are available, from retail to exhibit guide. Come help us out at least 4 hours a month.
Do you want to help out, but can’t dedicate 4 hours a month? We host exciting events throughout the year, like the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival! We will keep you posted on different events, so you can help when you are available. Help us at 2 or more events a year to get your perks!
“Welcome to the National Comedy Center!” Did you read that with a smile? If so, yep, this is definitely for you. Greet guests as they arrive to the NCC, answer questions, and take any coats or bags.
“Merchandise! Get your NCC merchandise here!” What? You think this some kind of carnival? Have some class! If you like apparel, souvenirs, or gag gifts you are perfect! Help guests find that perfect t-shirt, refrigerator magnet, shot glass, or whoopee cushion.
“Excuse me, who is George Carlin?” Did you know the answer to that question? If so, why haven’t you signed up yet? If not, do you want to know the answer? Help all guests navigate the exhibit and share your passion for comedy with them.
You are the NCC’s eyes and ears! This position is super important. Work with NCC Guest Research and help elicit feedback from our guests on their Comedy Center experience. This information will provide insights into how the NCC can grow.
“So wait… you want me to do all this for free?” Yes and no. We want to give you some free stuff in exchange for your free help.
