The National Comedy Center welcomes guests of all abilities to explore the story of comedy and experience the art form.

Wheelchair Access

Parking

The National Comedy Center has a free accessible parking lot located at the west end of the museum, near Jefferson Street and W 2nd Street.

Entrance to Museum

The accessible path to the main entrance is from the Accessible Parking area. Travel down the sidewalk past the renovated Train Station building. The main entrance is on the corner of Washington Street and W 2nd Street. Accessible doorways to outdoor areas are equipped with automatic openers.

Museum Exit

An exit ramp is available from the Gift Shop. The exit ramp will be down the hallway to your right as you leave the Gift Shop. After exiting, you will be near the intersection of W 2nd Street and Lafayette Street. Accessible doorways are equipped with automatic openers.

Exhibits

All levels of the Museum are accessible by elevator. Comedy Center Park and Plaza are also accessible by ramp and elevator. Accessible doorways to outdoor areas are equipped with automatic openers.

Wheelchair Availability

Manual wheelchairs are available free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Coat Check in the Main Lobby.

Restrooms

All restrooms are accessible and are located on the Main Level and in the Comedy Center Park Passageway. Single user, family, and all gender restrooms are located in the Main Lobby and in the Gift Shop Lobby.

Low Vision or Blind

Large Print

Large print versions of graphic mural text and artifact labels are available in the Museum exhibits. A large print map is available at the Admissions counter. Please ask a Team Member for assistance.

Hard of Hearing or Deaf

Open Captioning

Most video media throughout the Museum is open captioned.

Audio Transcripts

Transcripts are available for audio only experiences. These are available in the Museum exhibits. Please ask a Team Member for assistance.

Services Available By Request

ASL Interpretation

American Sign Language interpretation is available for public programs and events hosted by the National Comedy Center. Please request with three weeks advance notice. Verbal Description

Team Members are available for individuals who are blind or have low vision to accompany them throughout their visit.
